Do you have pain when passing urine? Urinary tract infections are common, particularly in women. Test quickly for a urinary tract infection in the comfort of your home, with results in 2 minutes.

Common symptoms include tummy pain, passing urine more often than normal, burning pain when passing urine, feeling the need to pass urine immediately, as well as cloudy urine. If you have blood in your urine with none of the other symptoms, see your doctor.

Urinary tract infections can be treated with antibiotics, but it is essential to test first to rule out other illnesses.

Not recommended for pregnant women, women aged over 65, if you have visible blood in your urine, or have a catheter. If you have any red flag symptoms see a doctor immediately: fresh blood in the urine, lower back pain, shivering, nausea, vomiting or confusion.

How to Use

  1. Collect urine
  2. Take the strip test out of the pouch
  3. Immerse the strip
  4. Wait for 2 mins and read the results. Take a photo of your test result to share with a health professional

FAQs

What is the Urinary Tract Infections Test (Urine) used for?

The Urinary Tract Infections Test (Urine) is a test to detect the presence of certain analytes in urine, including leukocytes, blood, nitrite, and protein. It is used for self-testing to provide information about urinary tract infections.

What are the symptoms of a urinary tract infection?

Symptoms can vary but may include a burning sensation during urination, a strong urge to urinate, cloudy urine, or a strong odour.

How do I perform the test?

Collect a urine sample in the provided plastic cup or a clean cup. Dip the test strip into the urine, ensuring that all four test fields are immersed for about 1-2 seconds. Remove the strip and wipe off any excess urine. Wait for 2 minutes and compare the colours on each test field with the provided colour chart.

How do I interpret the test results?

Each test field corresponds to a specific analyte. If the colour of the test field changes as indicated on the colour chart, it suggests the presence of the respective analyte. Positive results for leukocytes, blood, nitrite, or protein should be discussed with a doctor for further evaluation.

Can the test results be incorrect?

The test results are accurate if the instructions are followed correctly. However, certain medications, dietary factors, or contamination of the urine sample may affect the results. If you have concerns about the accuracy of the test, consult a healthcare professional.

When should I perform the test?

It is recommended to perform the test with a urine sample collected in the early morning when it is most concentrated. Avoid contamination of the urine sample with water, disinfectants, or cleaning substances.

What should I do if my test result is positive?

A positive result indicates the presence of a specific analyte in your urine. It does not necessarily mean you have a urinary tract infection, but it is recommended to contact your doctor and provide them with the test result for further evaluation and diagnosis.

What should I do if my test result is negative?

A negative result means that none of the tested analytes were detected in your urine. However, if you still experience symptoms or have concerns, it is advisable to consult your doctor for a more thorough examination.

How should I store the test kit?

Store the test kit in a dry place at temperatures between 2-30 °C (36-86 °F). Do not use the kit if the package is damaged. Keep it out of the reach of children.

Can I reuse the test kit?

No, the test kit is designed for single use only. Do not dismantle or touch the used areas of the test strip.

Please note that for specific medical advice and interpretation of the results, it is important to consult a healthcare professional.
